Tonight was Obama's first State of the Union. Tonight was also the first State of the Union I've watched in at least a decade, and the first one I really paid significant attention to. ("Dubya" bothered me so much as a speaker that I couldn't watch/listen to him.)
I especially liked...
- coherent sentences (a very nice change)
- a sense of humor (and humility)
- good doses of common sense/reality
- actual plans for the future (based mostly in reality, too, as a bonus!)
We'll see what 2010 brings politically, economically, and personally.

Wow, so I'm not the only one that feels that way about Dubya! An intelligent man is a wonderful change (we can believe in) after 8yrs of putting up with an utter nincompoop ;-)
