Day 177: Relocation
We moved desks today. I lost proximity to the windows, but traded it in for proximity to the open atrium thing, which is also cool.

Day 176: Choo choo!
The new train line near my flat started up today, giving me more travel options. :)
Yay, public transportation!

Day 173: Conflict of faith
On my way to meet friends, I passed this sign talking about a church that had been a jewery a few centuries ago. It's now back to being a church, but I found the juxtaposition interesting.

Day 170: Corporate Britain
The BBC complex is even includes trees and running water. ;-) Actually, it's not too corporate-looking, especially when you get inside their buildings.

Day 168: Birthday bash
Went out to celebrate my flatmate's birthday.
Who would've thought I'd hear My Darlin' Clementine and Sweet Home Alabama in a belgian brewery in London. Go figure.

Day 167: Sunshine
On sunny days, the lawn outside the BBC buildings ends up massively crowded with people enjoying the nice weather.

Day 166: Work environment
This is what I look at for 8 hours a day at work.
I should find a better desktop picture than the standard (and tiny) BBC logo.

Day 164: Snuggles
Ruby is shameless about sharing (aka stealing) Ace's bed, but Ace is gracious enough to not really care.

Day 163: Travelin' man
Ace is now a well-seasoned traveler, having been exposed to: tube lines, trains, buses (see left), and escalators (shh: don't tell, he's supposed to be carried, but he seems to handle them fine on his own 4 feet).
Yay for being able to take doggies places!

Day 162: Architecture
This is a cool building that's near my house. Behind the flower entrance is an open atrium, with the doors in the back. It looks very open, inviting, and cool-hippie-ish.

Day 161: Adding trash?
My computer apparently wants to create trash, not get rid of it.
(In the time it took me to take this screenshot and write this post, it's now gone up to -28 items to delete and doesn't seem to actually be getting around to deleting them. Hm...)

Day 160: Free books
This is my local library, which is a pretty decent size (especially by London library standards).
Better yet, they have a bunch of computers downstairs with free internet, and they have a deal with neighbouring councils to exchange books with them for free, so I have quite a catalogue to choose from.

Day 159: Elections!
I voted today in the UK's general election. :)
Granted, I wasn't really sure what I was doing since I'm still not crystal clear on how the political/electoral system works here, but at least I did have input.
I did find it very cute that rather than any sort of complicated system/technology, you put an "x" besides whatever name(s) you want to vote for. Makes sense to me.

Day 158: Tumbling down
This wall near my flat keeps getting rebuilt and then tumbling down again.
So far I've seen this happen twice, and I've lived here just over a month. I'm not sure if people run into it with their cars, or if the rebuilding is just done very badly, but it seems a bit futile.

Day 156: Ace man
Happy dog. :)
Well, in this case, somewhat confused dog, as he doesn't really get the point of picture-posing/-taking.

Day 155: Cool sign
This sign is hard to miss. :) It would be cool if all streets had similar signs (though again I'd have to fail them for usability since you could only read them as you drove/walked past and not beforehand).
